Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.

Applications are actually open and will shut on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must fulfill the following criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home with a combined gross domestic income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.

• People with disabilities qualify if their combined family money isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and want not submit any evidence of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with my nsfas combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.

Applicants are reminded to deliver the proper Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored in their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are finding nsfas status check out or plan to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any nsfas check of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
